Wrong in all the right ways

I am falling completely in love with P!NK's new single 'Raise your glass' and especially the video for this song. It really is an anthem for everyone who's different and proud of it. I've inserted the video here and just underneath is the chorus of the song - it's stuck in my brain these days, so I had to share:

And then this past week Pink also announced that she's pregnant - which of course happened on The Ellen's show (you know the deal, she is "The Ellen" to me, but yes, it was the Ellen DeGeneres). Pink has been on the show many times and Ellen often plays Pink's songs. Generally, both Pink and Ellen speak very highly of each other and seem to have mutial admiration, so it was an obvious choice, but a great one none the less.

Anyway, it's great that Pink is pregnant and I'm sure she'll be a great mom, but - on a more selfish note - this means we won't get to see her on tour the next couple of years *very sad face*
But what is even more erking to me right now, is that fact that her new video suddenly made me realize that she would've been a PERFECT Lisbeth Salander for the US remake of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. I mean, just look: piercings, mohawk, attitude...

I know Rooney Mara got the part and production has started, but Pink could've given the role the same fierce and believable attitude that Noomi Rapace gave it. I will keep my mind open about Rooney - especially since David Fincher is directing the remake - but Noomi was beyond amazing and will always be Lisbeth Salander to me.

For the record, I have seen Rapace in other roles, and she is always amazing. And according to rumors, she's in talks to star in the 'Alien' prequel, and there's no doubt she will have some equally brilliant roles in her future. And she can be just as cute and beautiful as she is fierce and talented.

Voice of Alice in Paranormal Activity 2?

OH.MY.GOD. I just went to see "Paranormal Activity 2" and for the longest time, I could swear Leisha Hailey (Alice on The L Word, for those who think the name sound familiar, but can't quite place it, LOL) was in the movie. Only her voice though!

I am telling you, the teenage girl in this movie sounded SO much like Leisha that it was freaking me out. Leisha Hailey has a pretty distinct voice, but this girl's voice was a deadringer. She did a good job and looks nothing like Leisha Hailey, but you don't see her at first. Anyway, if you've seen this movie or you do go see it, then please leave a comment here and let me know if I'm the only one hearing Leisha Hailey/Alice Pieszecki's voice.

And if you remotely liked the first "Paranormal Activity" you really need to watch the sequel - which is actually a prequel, and I recommend watching the first one (again) before going to see this movie. It was pretty damn awesome!

Fun gay fact: as soon as the movie ended, I did a Google search for "Paranormal Activity 2 + Leisha Hailey" and while nothing came up about her being in this movie, she DOES have a horror movie coming out. She plays straight, but is the wife of a true gay guy icon: Gale Harold! As in Brian Kinney from Queer As Folk. The movie is called "Fertile Ground". See, sometimes two gay icons CAN make a straight couple good. Even when one of the actors are gay IRL - you hear that, Newsweek? I don't think Gale Harold is gay, though I would love to have him on our team. And he's great as a straight ally, in any case. And brilliant at acting gay. ;o)

Then again, maybe their obvious flirtatous manor during interviews just made it all the more interesting - case in point in this video:

And while this bit could be used for publicity, there was no point in telling anyone about the other girl-on-girl action Kristen Stewart engaged in. And for the record, both Kristen and Dakota are truly great in this movie. So very natural... in every way. ;o)

Letter from a teen to her parents

Dear Mom and Dad!

It is with great regret and sorrow that I must write to you. I had to run away with my new lover because I wanted to avoid a scene with you. I know that you still consider me a child, but I'm 17 years old and I know how to take care of myself.

I have found true love with Larry and he's just so sweet. But I am aware that you would never approve of him because of his piercings, tattoos and leather clothes, and because he is so much older than me. In addition, he has five children, his youngest is my age. And it's not just infatuation. I'm pregnant with twins and Larry says we will be very happy together. He lives in a trailer out in the forest, and he has plenty of firewood to last the winter.

We share so many dreams for the future. He says he'll buy a lot of clothes and shoes for me. And Larry loves children. All his children have different mothers, but he says that with me it's different. Mom and Dad, I know we will be together forever. Larry says that I'm more woman than the older women, he's been with. How cool is that?

Larry has also opened my eyes to marijuana and how it's not actually harmful. He's a businessman and grows his own hemp and sells it to support his family. And Larry is clever with money! Also, he swaps some of the hemp with the neighbors for cocaine and ecstasy. The other occupants of the forest are also businessmen.

In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for AIDS, so Larry can get better. But you don't have to worry about me, Mom and Dad, I am very happy! Someday I am sure we will come and visit you so that you can see your grandchildren and my stepchildren.

5 bad habits

Oh yes, I have bad habits, and while they can be annoying, good things often come from them. In other words, while I may need to watch these bad habits and keep them in check, there isn't necessarily a reason to drop a bad habit. ;o)

1) I need to control my very spontaneous and intense happiness when a song comes on the radio, and Wifey is driving the car.
It has happened a few times (okay, maybe a few more than what most people would consider "few") and Wifey's heart is usually in her throat, because she thinks she's about to hit something or someone with the car. Apparently my "OH!" while jumping in the seat next to her can be confusing when we turning out onto the highway. My bad. But it certainly makes sure she's completely awake and aware - even more so than she would normally be. You're welcome, babe!

2) I bite my nails. Not all the time and not intensely, but I do bite my nails. Often it's if I'm either stressed out about something, or I'm watching a scary/interesting movie or reading a book, and I'm not aware of it at all really.

The really bad thing about this is the fact that I cannot stand the sound of other people biting their nails. I mean, I REALLY can't stand it. The hairs on the back of my neck stand, I grind my teeth and my pulse increases dramatically, while I fight the urge to yell "Would you STOP that, you psychotic freak!" I'm sure I look quite psychotic, when I try to restrain myself, and I've never actually verbally - or otherwise - attacked someone. Wifey is the only person who knows how much I detest the sound, so she's always aware which really calms me. However, she's also the one who likes to point out - a bit too much - when I'm biting my nails. But hey, as a gay girl, I can also point out to her that usually she's very happy I don't have long nails. Touché!

3) Procrastination! Oh yes, it's a bitch... YouTube and Google, I blame thee! However, I also love thee. A LOT! And while procrastination is a bad and stressful thing in the long run, I have also stumbled across a lot of brilliant things in my attempts to distract myself from whatever task I actually had at hand and should be getting into.
That's how I have found several brilliant shows and movies, but also, I've found websites and people that have come to be a wonderful part of my day and overall joy in life. So really, it can't be all that bad. And it's how I found out about the TV shows "Mistresses", "Skins", "Los Hombres de Paco", "Las Aparicio", "Pretty Little Liars", "Glee" and many more. Shows that I had heard of, but didn't know to watch and probably wouldn't have chosen to watch, since I already have a billion other shows I like to watch.

4) I watch a lot of TV. I have learned SO much from it; Languages, knowledge about history, biology, people, music and life. So to sum it up, I watch a lot of TV. Always have, always will. I heart TV. Period.
I really do!

5) I also love movies and music and spend obscene amounts of time watching, listening and going to the Movie Theater or concerts whenever possible and relevant. But my bad habit is that I don't read enough books. And in that respect, the gay internet really hasn't helped me much, because it is taking a lot of time away from reading more books. But I LOVE the gay internet, so I guess I'll just have to find time elsewhere. Maybe I should just give up sleeping? Then again, I'm going on about six hours a night as it is. I love to stay up late and get up early... make the most of every day. I just love life and all there is to experience too much, I suppose. And that's hardly a bad thing!

I miss Jack... and Karen

I apologize for the lack of updates, but not only has work been crazy - wonderful to take some time off during the summer, but then when you get back to work it seems you pay for it ten fold - I also have a million projects I'm working on.

Unfortunately this blog is a "Want to do" and not "Need to do" (as in I get paid for it), and so it suffers... I am sorry for this, but I never do forget my blog or those sweet people that send me comments and encouragement. So this quick impromptu post is for you all.

Just now - I mean two minutes ago - a Madonna song (Express Yourself, for those wondering) stopped abruptly and right in the middle. Wifey and I are both working on various projects, and the music is playing from her computer, so she quickly blurted out "I didn't do anything!" just as I started going "NO ONE interrupts the queen of...." and then I realized I was using one of Jack's ("Will and Grace") lines so I quickly went to my dear friend YouTube and found the clip. Here you go:

15 random things (about me)

1. I absolutely adore the smell (and taste) and nectarines

2. When eating a nectarine while Wifey is around, I love to look at her, smirk and quote the line "I could eat a peach for hours" (from 'Face/Off')

3. You know when you wake up from a wonderful dream and you try going back to sleep, because you're trying to get back to that dream? That's how I feel about Wifey. Whenever we're apart - even if we're just at work - it feels like I'm always trying to get back to her (I know *gag* super corny, but true)

4. I rarely sleep naked... It just makes me feel umm naked, in every way (and cold even during a heat wave)

5. Wifey always sleeps naked (she's always very warm). And I love it!

6. I was once a vegetarian for a year and a half. The main reason I'm not a vegetarian now is that all the people I love are extremely carnivorous, and it feels like I would burden them, so I'm a part time pescetarian now (try to get away with just eating fish, but I also still eat meat).

7. I have one tattoo now, but will have two by the end of today (Friday the 13th... I know, what was I thinking?! And I'm pretty superstitious). Both placed from the hip and up [out of plain sight].

8. My favorite perfumes are Tommy Girl (Tommy Hilfiger) for myself and Happy (Clinique) for Wifey.

9. I used to have OCD pretty badly, but now I just have very few quirky "habits" left.

10. I like lemons... A LOT. I can eat and enjoy sour foods more than anyone else I know.

11. I also love spicy, sweet and savoury things. Basically I love food and I don't mind strong/bold flavors!

12. I have no doubt that I could kill a person, if they physically (seriously) harmed someone I love - or if the victim was a child, an animal or anyone else who couldn't fight back.

13. I couldn't hurt an animal unless another life depended on it.

14. More than anything, I despise injustice, unfairness, intolerance and lies. I believe these things are the root of all evil - from broken hearts and dreams to world wars.

15. I believe in love and equality - we are all created equal and have the same right to life, love, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

What's in a name?

"GayGirll2000" How did I come up with that name?

Well, I never really use the word "lesbian". I mean, I do use it every now and then, but I define myself as "gay" and not "lesbian". I have no problem with the L word, but many years back - more than a decade, which is just scary to think about, LOL - when I came out, I really wasn't very happy with the word and it seemed like only certain homosexual women (angry, older, more butch and man hating) called themselves "Lesbians", but I was happy, young - still am, darn it - not butch, but not really super femine either, and I know many men that I think are just wonderful (gay and straight), so I went with the word that happy Ellen DeGeneres chose, when she proudly proclaimed "Yep, I'm gay!".

Me too!
Anyway, when you need to choose your name online, it seems other people have always had the same thought as you, so of course you need to find a new name, and so I thought to myself... What's gay? What's cool? Funny? Sounds good? What works that I can remember and identify with? And then it hit me...

Oh yeah, baby... it's like a new and improved version - or a cool robot, and I'm a bit geeky like that. GayGirl2000... Thank you, Jack!

P.S. I've lost a good 5 pounds so far, and things are going really good - except I've just been wined and dined for three days in a row. ;o) My parents love to take out me and my Wifey... We really are just foodies, and it is our summer vacation these days.
Besides, Wifey's got the greatest metabolism and can eat like a construction worker, while maintaining the look of a swimsuit model (I know, the world is unfair, but at least she's mine, so I'm  not complaining... much), so my parents really enjoy taking us out for dinner. People always love guests with a good appetite. Anyway, I'm staying on board with the Jillian Michaels workouts and am back on track on the food/calorie intake now as well.

Losing it...

So, I'm three days into my pursuit for this:
Oh yeah, any excuse to show off that body - even if it's not mine yet. Things are going great and I'm staying right on target. The truth is that I know I can do these sort of things, if I just put my mind to it and convince myself that I have decided that this is something I MUST do. Of course, this goes for everyone, but when you've been seriously OCD challenged like I have, then there's still a little hint of that left that can help you along. I have yet to meet someone who's battled with OCD that have let go of it 100%. You can call it little neuroses or what have you, but if you've ever been through the flicking lights on and off, or checking if a door is locked 8 times, then you know what's triggering you. Well, maybe not what exactly the trigger is (other than stress in some form probably), but you understand the mecanics of it.

ANYWAY, for me, I'm over my OCD, but have a few things that I hang on to - nothing people will notice, but more a matter of little things that people would call quirks, habbits, supperstition or what have you. These few things are what keeps it all balanced for me, and so I'm trying to now make it work for me by telling myself that I MUST eat healthy and work out. No, not to brainwash myself (well, maybe just a little bit) and I'm not on my way to an eating dissorder, but just to change my entire mindset.

I'm very aware of all the dangers when losing weight, and I've had my time with bulimia - to keep the weight I lost in a healthy weight off, and not to lose weight (not that it makes anything better) - and I'm not going back to any of my old unhealthy habbits. This is all about being healthy, and the truth is: When I was fighting with both OCD and bulimia in my teens, I realized that it was a lot of fear and stress, which in many ways was directly related to dealing with being gay (I know of MANY gay people who went through this same thing, which is a bit scary).

I've never had a problem with being gay, but I had a problem with the way I felt gay people were treated and perceived, which made me fight more for my place in the world - somehow my reasoning became that if I did everything right and was a "good girl" AND a "gay girl" then people would have to accept that being gay can be a good thing - I'm certainly VERY pleased with it.

Well, that was a right ramble there... but my point - and I do have one - is just to convey that I am right on track and even had a little meltdown yesterday - which is a good thing, because I do need to deal with the underlying issues of why I keep the extra 10-15 pounds on. I just had a good little cry, Wifey gave me space and knew when to reach out and then I got right back up. Okay, so having my period, which I admit makes my hormones run wild (Wifey would probably have a much more extreme way of explaining it), doesn't make this any better, so when I felt like I was losing control, I just had my little meltdown... And this time chocolate wasn't an option. ;o)

Image of Sunday - and my inspiration

This week is all about summer! My summer vacation starts this week, but Wifey still has another week of work, so I'm going to make the most of this week by doing some stuff around the house, work on learning Spanish and - this next part is actually my primary mission - I'm going to go ALL in and get a committed beginning to losing some weight and especially get in shape.

My inspiration - one of them anyway - is to get the body I want, which is pretty much like the one featured in my Image of Sunday (and this will be my wallpaper for at least a week)...:
Need I say that Wifey is also looking forward to when I can say "Mission Accomplished"? ;o)

I've joined the Jillian Michaels program (@, which I expect can help get my butt kicked into shape, and give me a good start. I've actually always thought very highly of her - love her no nonsense approach, and I believe that sometimes you do need to get beaten to the ground to realize you can make a decision to get back up and be better. And now that she's more open about her sexuality (bisexual from her comments so far), I feel good about choosing her to be my guide on this tour of HELL, which will no doubt leave me with a need to vent. That's why I plan on using this space right here, my blog, to get my thoughts and feelings out.

The best kiss

I stumbled across this clip a little over a week ago, and I knew I simply had to showcase it on my blog as well - in fact, I even commented this on the post where I originally saw it here (thank you so much to Snow for sharing this clip the first time around (I've seen it a few places since, but you were the first).

Let's see who Kristen thinks is the better kisser - and could she possible look and sound more like Shane from The L Word, when she answers the question? You be the judge. Here we go:

I might as well reveal right now that my favorite part is the reaction of her publicist, which just screams volumes - and somehow helps confirm everything I've been saying in this blog on the subject for the past +year.

And speaking of the publicist, I didn't know who she was, when she first caught my eye in pictures of Kristen here, but my wonderful anonymous reader - who refered me to these pictures to begin with - has come to the rescue once again. AND she has more juicy intel this time around:

"The woman in the pictures with Kristen is her publicist, Ruth. According to Kristen fans, Ruth and Kristen have worked together for many years and that's why they are so "comfortable" with each other. Ok, fine, but then I would like them to explain this comment Kristen makes..."

And THIS is what she said in the article - it's regarding her being nominated for "Best Kiss" at the MTV Awards with both Rob and Dakota:
I would’ve been really proud if me and Dakota had won,” she said. She even had the acceptance speech planned if Dakota had been there: “I would’ve done the whole build-up that me and Rob did last year, and then just stopped and said, “‘This just doesn’t feel right. Dakota, where are you? That would have been so funny.”

Umm, yeah, that would have been VERY funny, and it would have been especially funny to see publicist Ruth tackle Dakota on her way to the stage to prevent it.

But all this talk of the kisses made me want to check out the actual kiss with Dakota - I've already seen her kisses with Rob Pattinson in the Twilight movies. Well, the only full length version of the kissing scene is of low quality, but you get the jist of it:

Now, of course I'm very biased, but I think Rob seems like a really and truly great friend to Kristen, but I don't see anything else there. Not even when they're acting, which is a bit sad - however, in Rob's defense, the heat is lacking on Kristen's part and not so much his.

Kristen and Dakota on the other hand...Well then, seems like the agressor role suits our girl a bit better, 'cause now I see some heat. Or maybe it's just because it feel more natural with Dakota. But I still see more passion when looking back at pictures of her and Nikki Reed... but maybe that's just me?!

Image of Sunday

I may not be American, but I never pass on a chance to celebrate and have a little party – especially if it involves fireworks, which I just adore. Pretty colors that join the stars… that’s just beautiful.

Besides, 4th of July is Independence Day and since it celebrates Independence, I’m in! Actually, it celebrates the Declaration of Independence, which has some of the most powerful words that we should all live by every day.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

See, isn’t that a good thing to celebrate? Also, I always feel that as gay people (as a whole no matter where you live), we’re in a category of our own, where we often have to fight to be treated as equals, while living as independent individuals.

So whoever you are and wherever you live. Happy Independence day! Let’s celebrate it with a bang…. A pretty bang!
And this time the bonus is a song by a very independent, talented and amazing woman: Robyn with “Dancing on my own”, which is a fiercely independent song. I read an interview with her recently, where she stated that it really isn’t a sad song, since it’s about a girl who’s watching the person she wants dancing and kissing someone else, so she just continues to dance on her own instead of leaving and being defeated. Just notice these lyrics towards the end of the song:

Also, Robyn is brilliant at not making her songs very gender specific, which I love. She just relates them to herself singing “I'm givin' it my all, but I'm not the girl you're takin' home - I keep dancin' on my own”, but who she sings to or about is always up to the listener.

I'm coming out...

I need to come out. No, not the gay part... that's pretty out there
already. ;o) In fact, I'm one of those people who - as far back as I can
remember - always said that the one thing I knew I wasn't was straight.
That's probably why I got this T-shirt the minute I saw it:

Yep, that sums me up. I knew that I liked women, but I was a bit more
uncertain about those of the male persuasion. So maybe I was bi, but I
certainly never thought I was (or could be or even wanted to be) straight. I did consider myself to be bisexual during my teens, while I was figuring it all out... But I only really found my heartbeat speeding up and slowing down at the same time for girls. And I'm a total Goldstar lesbian... LOL, so I wasn't really all THAT bi.

Anyway, turns out the only guys I like are A) Those that I love like friends and in a total brotherly way or B) The gay boys... cause I do love
them, and the only time during my bi-years that I got somewhat confused was by a wonderful gay guy. Probably because it was all very safe and he had a femine thing about him that I responded to.

In any case, turns out I'm just super gay and thrilled to bits about it. Oh yes, in these Pride times, I really am.

But this post has been a complete side-track from the REAL point - and as
always, I do have one... You just need to wait for it, when I think of other interesting and completely mindblowing things I need to share. Or maybe not all that mindblowing... But back to the point of this post: I need to come out... and admit to the world... I am... not... American. I'm European. Born here and have been a citizen for all my life.

I've not objected when a comment has assumed otherwise because Wifey and I both ADORE the US, have lived there for shorter or longer periods (shorter for me, a bit longer for Wifey) and we plan on living there eventually. Part time, anyway - I don't want to give up on Europe all together.

I love and protect the anonymity that this blog gives me, but at the same
time, I want to be honest. I'm out and proud in every other way, so why not this one? Though I'll keep the specifics to myself... let's just say that I'm from Western Europe and while I am bilingual - see, still a little bi - and working on becoming trilingual, when the Spanish kicks in, I'm not from an english speaking country. I speak two languages fluently, an additional three pretty well (used to be real good, but now I basically understand them while searching for words when I need to speak) and I want Spanish to be the third language that I speak fluently. And I appreciate all and any advice/help that any of you may be able to offer in regards to that.

Phew, that felt good to get out there... and now, I need a drink!

I had already decided on this image last week, but then I started doubting as I was seeing pictures from the various Pride Parades in countries around the world. However, I quickly realized that my choice is VERY gay and even has a clear rainbow theme, so I stuck with it.

However, I also have a bonus,which is actually much more important to me than the image this week. When I saw this video yesterday from the Mexico City Pride Parade, it was immediately clear that nothing else would do.

But first, the story behind it. You see, I am CRAZY about the new mexican soap "Las Aparicio", which has the best gay couple on TV right now. However, I can't see it, so I found it a few weeks ago, when I stumbled across a clip on YouTube and so I have been catching up by watching all the scenes while reading recaps. I highly recommed - and by "highly recommend" I mean you MUST do it - reading Ingrid Diaz' recaps, which are readily avaible at her website now, but she will also be doing recaps of the show for AfterEllen starting next week. This was announced this week in "Best.Lesbian.Week.Ever":

"Julia and Mariana finally did it on Las Aparicio (thanks for the tip, Betty!) The show's stars Erendira Ibarra (Mariana) and Liz Gallardo (Julia) will be at the Mexico City Pride Parade this Saturday. Check back next week for our recaps (starting with the first episode and running until we're current) by Ingrid Diaz."

So... of course, I now have to give you two bonus videos, since you also need a little teaser/taster of the show.

Also, I read this statement below very recently, and it is SO true after both "Chich Busca Chica", Pepa and Silvia (aka PepSi) of "Los Hombres de Paco" and now Julia and Mariana (aka Juliana) of "Las Aparicio" plus various other movies. (if you know who said this first, then please let me know and I will gladly spread that info as well)

SPANISH = the new language of lesbians!

Maybe that's why I am now kicking my quest for learning the language into high gear. I am listening to Spanish radio every day at work - plus I was already rooting for Spain as the winner of the soccer World Cup 2010, so I was on the right track. ;o)

Image of Sunday

It's so strange how a person, who's basically crude and obnoxious can make you laugh so damn hard. I suppose it's because Sue Sylvester always just speaks her mind and holds nothing back, which is sort of charming in her own way... Also, we all know she has a heart of gold and wants to push people to succeed (and thus make her a success as well, of course). Her entire persona is like performance art based on the song "I am what I am".

Remember when Kristen Stewart used to smile?

I do... it looked a little something like this:

Anyway, that was then and this is now, so let's continue the follow up, I started recently. It's high time, I know... work has been crazy lately.

But here goes, and let's take some more recent pictures this time around. First of all there's the MTV Movie Awards 2010, where it was all about Kristen and Rob - for example the kiss that wasn't reinacted like it's standard for the winners of the "Best Kiss" award to always do.

As Kristen said "... to be perfectly honest with you it takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good at kissing!" We believe you, Kristen. But the flirting with an unknown (publicist, friend, girlfriend, whatever) in a moment out of the spotlight seemed to come very easily to you:

Right now there's also a lot of promotion for the Twilight Eclipse movie, but Nikki Reed has stated that she doesn't know where she's going to do promotion, since she's basically just put on a plane and flown to various places around the world:

"I'll be going to the U.K. premiere, I'm definitely going to London and New York. And some other things! They are shipping me off to some cities...I'll know when I get on the plane."

I can just see it now... the U-Haul would basically have been one big rainbow in terms of lesbian symbols, and it would've been only too easy to conclude that they were moving in together. They would have to have her and Rob and Taylor have a threesome in public to spin that kind of picture into something completely innocent and heterosexual.

Anyway, back on track - though I guess I was still on some kind of track! As far as the promotion tour, it sounds kinda unfair, that she's not even informed, so I'll give her a heads up: Look at the PR work K-Stew has got lined up for her, and you know where you WON'T be going...

Finally, this is not a "real" picture, since it's had a brief encounter with Photoshop, but wouldn't it just make everything so much easier for Kristen Stewart?

Image of Sunday

Today should've been an easy choice, but I was conflicted; Should I go with Glee since they had their season ending just recently OR should I go with True Blood since season 3 premieres today?

The result either way would be campy and very VERY gay... so really, I couldn't lose. And I decided that since we'll get plenty of True Blood in the weeks to come, but no more Glee, we need to celebrate the beginning of a new season and then have an excuse to look at Glee wallpapers once or twice (at least) during the summer. ;o)

But still there was another choice to be made: The new promotional shot OR the lips and tongue which symbolizes the show. Yet again, I realize that I can't lose either way and, in any case, I don't have to choose.

So here comes both - I'm starting out with the first one as my wallpaper and then I might switch it up during the week. I'm just a rebel that way!

Image of SUNday

I realize it's not Sunday anymore and I do apologize... What can I say? The sun came out and so did the blender, and Sunday became SUN-day... and Frozen Margarita n' Daiquiri day. Yesterday's lunch literally consisted of margaritas, fresh strawberries and nachos. And then for dessert we had Strawberry daiquiris... and a nap in the sun. ;o)

All in all, a wonderful and beautiful day out in the sun - and I was tanning responsibly with ample amounts of high SPF and shade. Plus, being the doting wife, I made sure Wifey was always protected, so I lotioned her up... regularly. ;o) Oh, how I do love the sun, blue skies and drinks...

And in my drinks I only use the brands that support me, so I'm all about the Absolut... it's Absolutely fabulous - and gay! So this is my screensaver for the following week:

Thursday Tribute: The pretty boys...

I've always said that if I was a man, I'd still be gay... I just can't imagine not being gay. That's how gay I am, I guess! Also, I couldn't get Wifey if I were a man, so no point in being a straight man.

Anyway, that really wasn't my point. Wifey just IM'ed me a picture and asked if I could recognize the person, and at first I really couldn't. I'll spare you the guessing game and just tell you that it's Lance Bass.
And he is looking so damn pretty - which is a good thing in my book. What can I say, even as a gay girl I love my gay men!

But however pretty Lance looks in the above picture, he is only a shadow of the #1 Pretty Man in the world right now:
Yes, Adam Lambert! And he can be as gorgeous a woman...

Is Kristen Stewart gay? The follow-up (and one year anniversary post)

Well, a lot has happened since my original post about the relationship between Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed. A whole lot of nothing! If you’re to believe the unreal lack of pictures featuring them both… which of course, we know better than to do (you really need to click the image below for the details).

Sure, these two actresses are both part of the Twilight franchise, and to begin with they were the key elements of the promotion tour (along with Robert Pattinson and Tayor Lautner), but – as we all know by now – Nikki Reed disappeared after rumors and speculations regarding the nature of her relationship with Kristen Stewart became too intense. Rumors about Kristen and Rob or Kristen and Taylor however were fine and almost encouraged. The same goes for rumors about Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart having had a falling out – the version in which it was due to them both being crazy about Rob seemed to be pushed the most.

However, if you dig just a little bit, then you will find it. No, not the dirt. Simply the truth.
My original post was from June 2009, which officially makes this the one year anniversary of that particular post – and let me tell you, I still get thousands of hits every single month on this posts and the majority of my visitors find it via search engines. Which search gives the most hits, you ask? Why it’s the simple and pure “Kristen Stewart gay” search… Apparently Summit Entertainment has in no way managed to convince people that she’s a Team Edward and/or Team Jacob grrl.

Let’s get started with the update, shall we?

Exhibit A:
While not being seen at any public events and only very few unofficial outings of any kind, here we see the two supposed “enemies” out and about in Vancouver in early September 2009.

Exhibit B:
A tiny excerpt from a November 2009 interview with Spin Magazine.

Q: What’s the most prized T-shirt in your collection?
A: [Friend and New Moon star] Kristen [Stewart] and I share a lot of clothes, so I wear a lot of Joan Jett shirts.

Uh huh… let’s just let that one stand alone, shall we?

While Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart were nowhere near each other at the big November 16th 2009 grand opening of “Twilight: New Moon” in Hollywood, they were both there, but you'll only find picture of them with other cast members:

And for good measure, here is the undeniable proof that they were both there; Please note the fact that their wearing the dresses from the above images and also, pay attention to the pink "Kristen is the shiznit!" t-shirt in the background:

However, three days later on November 19th at the New York premiere, Nikki and Kristen were seen in official pictures together for the first time in a very long time:

I’m sure someone got fired for letting that happen, but what can you do? Maybe Kristen weren’t supposed to arrive at the same time since she's wearing a long trench coat while Nikki is sporting a red carpet dress -seems a bit odd. Also, Kristen does have a very smug look about her - as if she just got away with something. And if the trench coat reasoning should be that it was her cold, then it got warmer later on, when the dress was in fact revealed later and looked like this:
No picture of them along side one another in their red carpet dresses though... of course not.

Image of Sunday

Since this day also marks the series finale of LOST, it seems only fitting that I use this as my inspiration for 'Image of Sunday'. Another reason for this particular choice - as if I needed one - is the fact that images of this lady kissing another woman on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, have been taking up space on virtually every entertainment and/or gossip site this past week.

The good and the bad

Some good and bad news have been coming out these past few weeks. First the really bad news: Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed won't both be in the upcoming movie K-11, which would have had them playing a couple.

The film mysteriously got postponed after both actresses had mentioned it in interviews, but the more the lesbian rumors surfaced, the more the two had to be kept completely separate. First Nikki Reed wasn't part of the promotion tour for the Twilight movies [read my outing of this here]. In fact, the picture here below is from just such an event, where she showed up even though it wasn't planned - you can read about it at JustJared - and then they were inseparable... as usual:

Latest thing is that now she has dropped out (or probably been removed) from the next movie she would be making with Kristen. It all seems and sounds very umm odd... to put it mildly.

Very bad - and sad - news indeed, but the powers that be [*cough* Summit Entertainment] are obviously very persistent about keeping them completely apart.

And the good news? The other sweet couple [of BFF's] I'm keeping my eye on - Dianna Agron and Lea Michele from Glee - both made it onto the AfterEllen 2010 Hot 100 list. YAY, how wonderful and GAY!!!

Lea Michele came in at #16, which means she made her debut to the Hot 100 list on the exact same place as Kristen Stewart did the year before... I see a pattern. Let's hope Dianna Agron won't suddenly be forced out of all Glee promotion and kept away from Lea.

And speaking of Dianna Agron, she came in at a very impressive #26

#1 went to Olivia Wilde and Kristen Stewart came in at a very impressive #2 (like I mentioned before, she had her debut on the list last year at #16).

Congratulations to all the Hot 100 women that made the list - and all the gorgeous and wonderful women that didn't as well. ;o)

Image of Sunday

I've decided to start my "Image of Monday" posts once again. Only this time I'll make it my "Image of Sunday" and then the image will also be my wallpaper for the following week. Now you know what I'm looking at when I'm contemplating what to do next... and everytime I open or close my dear laptop.

Anyway, I often find pictures that I can't quite figure out how to fit into a post... I just know I want to share them cause they're hot or funny (or both, LOL), so here's my first Image of Sunday:

I REALLY can't wait for summer... I'm preparing this post while it's raining and the sky is a very depressing grey, and this image just brightens up my mood. What can I say? I'm a sucker for luscious green grass, a beautiful woman, white tank tops, fingers and lips in unison and a quotation tattoo placed in a hot spot... Basically, this image just covers a whole lotta stuff I really like - and lust for. That's probably why I've already told my Wifey that we need to recreate this photo with her as the model.

Hmm, I might find it difficult to change this wallpaper in a week already, but I guess I'll just have to find something equally good... The pressure is on, huh?!

Btw, speaking of tattoos just now, I'd like to officially let it be known that I'm getting one before the summer is over. It will be my second and Wifey will get her first (around the same area where Angelina has her cross in the image above). I know I'm getting a quote and it won't be my last.

Only problem is that I haven't quite decided on which quote to get for my first quotation tattoo. I'm a bit of a nerdy girl, when it comes to quotes and I have 3-5 quotes I know I want to get somewhere on my body. Anyway, I'll get back to you on that.

Coming out… with an album and a memoir!

Well, isn’t this just plain irritating… I don’t even know who this Chely Wright is, and she’s the “celebrity” coming out on Cinco de Mayo. I guess the cat’s out of the bag [pun intended], so we’re already getting the scoop now.

The one good thing is that YAY, IT’S A GIRL!!! Other than that – and pardon my French – but who the fuck are you again? Now, usually, I’m not really pissy about people coming out, and I can definitely see the good in this one as well and have heard following examples:
1) Nobody really saw it coming
2) She’s pretty hot and could be a great poster child for coming out gay later on
3) She’s one of the first country stars to do this

And this is where I start to feel pissy, because if it’s so important for you to come out, then why the hell can’t you do it without having an album and a book to promote? I guess helping out the young LGBTQ people in the true blue Country-lovin’ states wasn’t so very damn important to you, when you had nothing to gain. And again, who the fuck are you? Oh, I know, I just need to buy your album and memoirs to find out. Right?!

If you do this at the height of your career (hat tip @ Ellen DeGeneres and Neil Patrick Harris, who have both gotten even bigger careers after coming out) or when you have nothing to gain financially from it right now (Ricky Martin), then I will worship the ground you walk on, but this is just plain business. I mean, right now this just seems like the best way for Chely Wright to get more publicity than money can buy.

I suggest you start by giving back to your community right now. I’m sure the Human Rights Campaign or ANY other LGBT friendly cause would gladly accept your donations. Do that and I’ll believe you weren’t just in it for the money. Otherwise, why didn’t you come out sooner? I really wish you had and I didn’t feel robbed like this.

Despite everything... Congratulations on coming out, I really do wish you all the best.
